    Subscription Licensing

    Altium Subscription is a license model that allows you to access Altium Designer and other Altium products by paying an annual subscription fee. With subscription licensing, you always have access to the latest software updates and new features.

    Perpetual Licensing

    Perpetual licensing allows you to purchase a perpetual license for Altium Designer and other Altium products. You pay a one-time fee to purchase the license, and then you own it forever. However, perpetual licenses do not include access to new features or software updates beyond the initial release.

    Student Licensing

    Altium offers a special licensing option for students, which provides access to Altium Designer and other Altium products at a discounted rate. This license is valid for one year and can be renewed annually as long as the student is still enrolled.

    Trial Licensing

    Altium offers a free 15-day trial of Altium Designer for users who want to try the software before purchasing a license.

    On-Demand Licensing

    On-demand licensing is a flexible licensing option that allows you to purchase licenses for a specific period of time, such as a week or a month, as needed. This option is ideal for short-term projects or for users who only need occasional access to Altium Designer.

    Viewer Licensing

    Altium Viewer is a free software tool that allows users to view and annotate Altium Designer files without the need for a full license. This option is ideal for users who need to collaborate on design files with others who may not have access to a full license of Altium Designer.


    Altium also offers different levels of licensing, such as standard, professional, and enterprise, depending on the features and functionality needed by the user.
